HAIFU Shark II "Soft" rubber factory tuned rubber

A superb rubber – made in China but with closer characteristics to Japanese rubbers like Tenergy etc. Loads of grip, integral from the rubber, rather than from the normal Chinese sticky surface. Loaded on a 36° high energy sponge this high tension rubber guarantees consistency in all phases of play. Suits either close to the table or mid distance game – high speed, good catapult effect and great kick. White Shark is the choice of many leading Chinese players.


"Well I really liked this rubber from the moment I hit the first ball. Reason is that this rubber actually felt more like a speed glued rubber, not just a glue effect rubber.

The topsheet was only very mildly tacky, more than most euro/japanese rubbers as it could actually move the ball up a little when you press the bat on it. The sponge really did feel soft, but not too springy like most Tensors. The short game was very good with this rubber, better than any 'glue effect' rubber I've tried. I remember playing with Mark V 30deg a few times, with several layers of speed glue, and this had really nice and almost dead touch... well this rubber felt somewhat like this too.

Put a bit of effort into a loop, and it comes off quite fast with very good spin. Loop a bit harder and the power really kicks in, and the clicky sound is evident. The soft sponge gives a lot of dwell time for low to medium impact loops, giving it great accuracy and spin."
