DHS G666 is a high performance Chinese rubber with very bargain price (under USD$ 20). Physically, like most Chinese rubbers, it comes with pretty hard sponge and high tackiness. Even though its material is pretty similar to its fellow, DHS Hurricane, this rubber has a little bit softer surface, and a bit less tackiness. While DHS G666 is a bit lighter than DHS Hurricane 3, it is still relatively heavy compared to other modern Japanese rubbers.

Regarding speed, while DHS G666 offers you quite a fair speed with reasonable power, it has slightly less speed than Hurricane 3 and significantly slower than other offensive rubbers like Tenergy 05, Yasaka Rakza 7, etc. The relatively slow speed could however enhance its controllability as well as defensive ability. Nevertheless, if you are looking for a crazy speed rubber, DHS G666 is definitely not a good one for you.

In term of control, DHS G666 gives you superb control, touch, and feel. Even though its fellow, DHS Hurricane 3, is one of the best for control, I would say this rubber is even slightly better, but in sacrifice with its speed and power. In addition, DHS G666 is also less sensitive for an incoming spin ball from your opponent and also offers you a bit more consistency due to less tackiness. So it is also suitable for modern defensive strategy. Furthermore, G666 allows you to perform counter attack, and block with high precision and more forgiving for your mistakes. This means it still allows you to return quite a fine ball even with improper stroke or technique.

Regarding spin ability, DHS G666 is rock. It allows you to perform very decent topspin loop with high throw angle and decent dwell time (slightly higher throw angle than Hurricane 3). You can generate monstrous spin with minimal effort and much more forgiving than Hurricane 3. The backspin power, is however slightly less than its fellow due to less tackiness but still quite impressive. Given the fact that it comes with very cheap price, even though its spin power is slightly less than other upmarket rubbers like, Tenergy 05, Nittaku Narucross EX soft, or Butterfly Spin Art, it is by far more cost effective.

Overall DHS G666 is very cost effective rubber and easy to use. It offers you decent spin power as well as good controllability but in sacrifice with low speed and power. Due to its controllability and forgiveness, it is highly recommended for intermediate players who prefer control and spin over power.
